Viva Frida!
As a lover of all things Frida I thought it would be nice to share that with other people who are passionate about her paintings and her life story. The legacy of her art and her life experience is a fascinating one. I'll be posting articles that I come across related to her work and fan videos from YouTube. I'll also be posting books on her as I find them. Feel free to add your favorites as well.
Her artwork is coming to SFMOMA in a few weeks. I'll be blogging about that to. The VivaFrida Altar and the Sacred Brushes project is also going to be on display in SF in June. More to follow on that. The brushes that were donated for the altar will be making their way to Mexico. We also also hope to document that so that you can see pictures of them at her home in Coyoacan.
I'd also love to see pictures of her blue house if anyone has been there. Or perhaps altars you've created in her honor for Dia de los Muertos.
I know several of you from the art and design world, ABLA, ebay, myspace, etsy and from the VivaFrida Yahoo group. Feel free to invite your friends that share in interest in her. Share your favorite Frida links etc.
Let us know what you're doing with your artwork, designs, etc.
